Kiara Claremont Design
Lead Designer
Dec 2009 – present (8 yrs, 7 mos)
Kiara Claremont is a graduate of Stanford University. She is a software engineer turned UX UI designer, and she has a knack for crafting compelling internet products. She is a senior product designer based in San Francisco and specializes in designing and crafting internet software for early-stage startups and hi-tech companies. She has led mobile and web design for several seed- stage startups in the valley.
Kiara is a data-driven, people-focused UX UI designer and believes that nothing is more important than designing an outstanding product. She loves working with founders who are obsessed with the software they are building and have taken the time to think deeply about their market, their business, and their competitors. She is passionate about understanding patterns, behaviors and needs when it comes to creating great products that have a positive impact on lives.
In terms of product design, Kiara considers herself to be a generalist. She advocates running usability studies and user research and encourages product teams to explore ideas from concept to prototype with varying levels of fidelity. From years of experience designing, crafting and building a strategy for internet software products, Kiara has learned that prototyping is the most effective way to test design ideas, iterate quickly, and get buy-in from stakeholders. She lives in Sketch and Principle to validate her prototyped designs, and she believes in constantly learning and trying out new tools to streamline her design processes.
Kiara values working on a talented and highly motivated team that continually raises the bar for both the product and talent. Honesty and transparency are very important to her. She enjoys working on a team that is comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback for the sake of building better products together.
